Concussion Awareness and
Equipment Fitting Class

every year)
Once again all families
must take the CDC
Concussion Awareness
class in order for child
to participate.
The State of Maryland
has enacted legislation
to require concussion
awareness of all Youth and HS
sports families. The
following course is
approved, It only
takes about 25 minutes
and is very well done.

All you ever wanted to know
about the Rockville Football League...
For 45 years the RFL
has provided a safe and wholesome opportunity for
youths ages 5-14 to learn and compete in Football
and Cheerleading. The League is an Independent
501C not for profit corporation that operates in
partnership with the
City of
Rockville. A volunteer
Board of Directors administrates the program on
a day to day basis. The League is funded
through collection of playing fees, snack bar
profits, sponsorships and donations.
Scholarship
programs, including registrations fees and
equipment costs for children that meet the County
and City assistance requirements are available by
contacting the league at
president@rfl.cc .

REGISTRATION PRIMER

RFL Registration for
the Fall 2013 Season will begin, on-line, on May 15,
2013. The following is a “survival guide” on
how to properly register and make sure your kid or
kids will start the 2013 RFL Experience in the best
way possible.
First a couple of definitions. Just what the
heck is a “Returning Player”? Well,
that would be any young man or woman that played in
the RFL or MSFL during the 2011 0r 2012 Fall Season.
While we love our new Spring Flag Season players,
you are going to have to play a season in “Prime
Time” (read Fall Tackle or Flag) to be a “Returning
Player”. The reason for this and all of our
other rules is not to keep friends from playing
together, not ruin your car pools and not to be just
